This is a brief investigation into how I’d like to work with others who are doing their best to help mankind.

John 2:13-17 the Jews’,23

13 …the Jews’ passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: 15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables; 16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise. 17 And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up. 23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.

John 12:42-43 among

John 13:34,35

34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

John 21:15-17

15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. 17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

SH 136:1

Jesus established his church and maintained his mission
on a spiritual foundation of Christ-healing. He taught
his followers that his religion had a divine
Principle, which would cast out error and heal
both the sick and the sinning. He claimed no intelli-
gence, action, nor life separate from God. Despite the
persecution this brought upon him, he used his divine
power to save men both bodily and spiritually.

SH 138:14

The supremacy of Spirit was the foundation on which
Jesus built. His sublime summary points to the religion
of Love.

SH 131:18

unto his own, and his own received him not.” Jesus once
said: “I thank Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and
earth, that Thou hast hid these things from the wise
and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even
so, Father, for so it seemed good in Thy sight.” As afore-
time, the spirit of the Christ, which taketh away the cere-
monies and doctrines of men, is not accepted until the
hearts of men are made ready for it.

SH 28:1-4,6-11

The Pharisees claimed to know and to teach the di-
vine will, but they only hindered the success of Jesus’
mission. Even many of his students stood
in his way.

in the grasp of matter is the persecutor of Truth and
Love.
While respecting all that is good in the Church or out
of it, one’s consecration to Christ is more on the ground
of demonstration than of profession.

SH 141:4-26

Christian demonstration. Few understand or
adhere to Jesus’ divine precepts for living and
healing. Why? Because his precepts require the disci-
ple to cut off the right hand and pluck out the right eye,
– that is, to set aside even the most cherished beliefs
and practices, to leave all for Christ.
All revelation (such is the popular thought!) must come
from the schools and along the line of scholarly and eccle-
siastical descent, as kings are crowned from a
royal dynasty. In healing the sick and sinning,
Jesus elaborated the fact that the healing effect
followed the understanding of the divine Principle and
of the Christ-spirit which governed the corporeal Jesus.
For this Principle there is no dynasty, no ecclesiastical
monopoly. Its only crowned head is immortal sover-
eignty. Its only priest is the spiritualized man. The
Bible declares that all believers are made “kings and
priests unto God.” The outsiders did not then, and
do not now, understand this ruling of the Christ; there-
fore they cannot demonstrate God’s healing power.
Neither can this manifestation of Christ be com-
prehended, until its divine Principle is scientifically
understood.

SH 26:21-23

practice of Truth involved such a sacrifice
as makes us admit its Principle to be Love.

SH 572:6-8

to its native nothingness. “Love one an-
other” (I John, iii. 23), is the most simple and profound
counsel of the inspired writer.

SH 454:17

Love for God and man is the true
incentive in both healing and teaching. Love inspires,
illumines, designates, and leads the way. Right motives
give pinions to thought, and strength and freedom to
speech and action. Love is priestess at the altar of
Truth. Wait patiently for divine Love to move upon the
waters of mortal mind, and form the perfect concept.
Patience must “have her perfect work.

SH 1:1-4

THE prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the
sick is an absolute faith that all things are
possible to God,- a spiritual understanding of Him,
an unselfed love.

SH 487:30-488:1

SH 488:7-13

The Hebrew and Greek words often translated _belief_
differ somewhat in meaning from that conveyed by the
English verb _believe_; they have more the sig-
nificance of faith, understanding, trust, con-
stancy, firmness. Hence the Scriptures often appear in
our common version to approve and endorse belief, when
they mean to enforce the necessity of understanding.

SH 319:7

spiritual law and misguide human hope. Having faith
in the divine Principle of Health and spiritually under-
standing God, sustains man under all circumstances;
whereas the lower appeal to the general faith in material
means (commonly called nature) must yield to the all-
might of infinite Spirit.

SH 368:14

sin has little inspiration to nerve endeavor. When we
come to have more faith in the truth of being than we have
in error, more faith in Spirit than in matter, more faith
in living than in dying, more faith in God than in man,
then no material suppositions can prevent us from healing
the sick and destroying error.

demonstrated the inability of corporeality, as well as the
infinite ability of Spirit, thus helping erring
human sense to flee from its own convictions

SH 145:31

The theology of Christian Science includes healing
the sick. Our Master’s first article of faith propounded
to his students was healing, and he proved his faith by
his works. The ancient Christians were healers. Why
has this element of Christianity been lost?
Because our systems of religion are governed
more or less by our systems of medicine. The first idol-
atry was faith in matter. The schools have rendered
faith in drugs the fashion, rather than faith in Deity. By
trusting matter to destroy its own discord, health and
harmony have been sacrificed. Such systems are barren
of the vitality of spiritual power, by which material sense
is made the servant of Science and religion becomes
Christlike.

urged no obedience to material laws, but acted in direct
disobedience to them.

SH 147:1

the age in which we live. This system enables the
learner to demonstrate the divine Principle,
upon which Jesus’ healing was based, and
the sacred rules for its present application to the cure of
disease.

SH 351:2

was pedantic and void of healing power. When we lose
faith in God’s power to heal, we distrust the
divine Principle which demonstrates Christian
Science, and then we cannot heal the sick. Neither can
we heal through the help of Spirit, if we plant ourselves
on a material basis.

SH 393:16-18

Be firm in your understanding that the divine Mind
governs, and that in Science man reflects God’s govern-
ment.

SH 390:20

him.” Suffer no claim of sin or of sickness to grow upon
the thought. Dismiss it with an abiding conviction that
it is illegitimate, because you know that God is no more
the author of sickness than He is of sin. You have no
law of His to support the necessity either of sin or sick-
ness, but you have divine authority for denying that neces-
sity and healing the sick.

SH 418:12-15, 22, 7

It must be clear to you that sickness is no more
the reality of being than is sin. This mortal dream
of sickness, sin, and death should cease
through Christian Science.
By the
truthful arguments you employ, and especially by the
spirit of Truth and Love which you entertain, you will
heal the sick.
Plead with an honest conviction of truth and
a clear perception of the unchanging, unerr-
ing, and certain effect of divine Science. Then, if your
fidelity is half equal to the truth of your plea, you will
heal the sick.

Unicorns are Special

Unicorns are quite special. Did you know the KJV Bible mentions them a number of times?

Numbers 23:22

22 God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

Numbers 24:8

8 God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.

Deuteronomy 33:17

17 His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

Job 39:9

9 Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?
